Nawmai – The Wancho Warrior’ Premiered in Itanagar, Release Set for Sept 18

Much awaited, Nawmai - The Wancho Warrior (The war for love & land), was premiered on Sarurday amidst film lovers at TNZ Cinema Hall, Itanagar. Directed by Jovi Wangjin Wangsa the film is a historical war drama about an indigenous warrior from the Wancho tribe who leads a fierce rebellion to protect his people’s land, culture, and sovereignty from foreign invaders. The story blends intense action with a deeply personal tale of love, honor, and sacrifice. Powang Wangsa, Lemngam Atraham, Dharm Dingwang, Taichat Wangnowham are in the cast of the film. The movie will be released in cinemas on 18 September all over the northeast. Nyato Dukam, Minister for IPR, attended the premiere show as the chief guest and shared his review on the film while addressing the media. Jovi Wangjin Wangsa, Director of the film also shared his experience about his debut film as a director.
