বীরভূমের তারাপীঠে আজ কৌশিকী অমাবস্যা উপলক্ষে উপচে পড়েছে পূণ্যার্থীদের ভিড়। সকাল থেকেই লক্ষাধিক ভক্ত মা তারার দর্শনের জন্য ভিড় জমিয়েছেন। সকাল ১১টা ৫৫ মিনিটে অমাবস্যা তিথি শুরু হওয়ার আগে মায়ের ব্রহ্মশিলা মূর্তিকে স্নান করানো হয় এবং রাজরাজেশ্বরী বেশে সাজিয়ে শুরু হয় মঙ্গল আরতি। দুপুরে দেবীকে অন্নভোগ নিবেদন করা হয়। ভোগে ছিল পোলাও, ফ্রায়েড রাইস, ভাত, ডাল, পাঁচ প্রকার ভাজা, তরকারি, মাছ, বলির পাঁঠার মাংস, শোল মাছ পোড়া, পায়েস, পাঁচরকম মিষ্টি প্রভৃতি। সন্ধ্যায় শোলার ডাকের সাজে দেবীকে সাজানো হবে। মঙ্গল আরতির পর নিবেদন করা হবে শীতল ভোগ। রাতভর চলবে বিশেষ পূজা, ভোগ নিবেদন ও তন্ত্রসাধনা। At Tarapith in Birbhum, a massive crowd of devotees gathered today on the occasion of Kaushiki Amavasya. In the evening, the Goddess will be decorated with the traditional shola daaker saaj. After Mangalarati, Sheetal Bhog will be offered.
