Einige zentrale Stellen, welche die Existenz körperloser Seelen stark implizieren (Mt 22,29-32; 2 Kor 5; Lk 16,19-31; Offb 6,9 u.a.) --- Philosophical Arguments for the Existence of the Soul: 1) The Quality of Consciousness 2) The Unity of Consciousness 3) Diachronic Personal Identity 4) Near-Death Experiences 5) Free Will What does the Bible teach about the soul? OT: No explicit metaphysics; “soul” (nefesh) often has a different meaning than the Platonic-Cartesian concept. However, there is at least one passage (1 Sam 28) that strongly implies the existence of disembodied souls. NT: The metaphysical image becomes clearer. The Greek term “psyché” is closer to the philosophical usage. Several key passages strongly imply the existence of disembodied souls (Matt. 22:29–32; 2 Cor. 5; Luke 16:19–31; Rev. 6:9, among others).
