Episode 15 of Solo at 65 – The Munda Biddi Journey. After a rain-soaked rest day in Manjimup, it was time to get moving again. The forest was still dripping and lush, and my rain jacket stayed busy - on, off, on again - as showers came and went. The wet weather had transformed the bush into something vivid and alive. Beautiful singletrack wound through bright green forest, with a couple of large fallen trees adding some extra effort along the way. The sun briefly appeared for lunch before the rain returned once more. I wasn’t quite feeling it at the start of the day. The quiet reality of riding solo began to sink in - no one beside me to share the small moments as they unfolded. But I kept pedalling. The day ended at the wonderfully quirky Quinninup Eco Village, where I found shelter in a simple cabin - surrounded by hundreds of garden gnomes keeping watch over the grounds. Some days aren’t about progress or achievement. They’re about simply continuing. Music: Gavin Luke - via Epidemic Sound
