We walk along the hiking trails, pass the river and traditional mountain cafés, and experience the atmosphere of one of the city's favorite escapes from the summer heat. Darakeh is a popular destination for hikers, families and young people looking to spend a few hours surrounded by nature while still being close to Tehran. During our hike, we also witnessed a serious incident on the trail. A hiker had apparently fallen from the mountain and was being carried down on a stretcher by hardworking firefighters and rescue workers. We hope they recovered safely.
