There was plenty to see and do while in Adelaide this January for the Tour Down Under festival of cycling. The tradition continued for me in 2024 and I was back in South Australia because of a bike race. While there, I rode as often as I could, exploring the extensive bike path network and also tracing some of the race route... or simply rolling where the road took me. On the day of stage three of the women's TDU, I set of early and visited the site of the finish that day: from the city to Old Willunga Hill. I went along the Patrick Jonker Veloway, then picked up the Shiraz Trail to McLaren Vale and onwards to celebrated cycling terrain... and the slopes of the hill where Sarah Gigante won the stage and the title of #TDU2024. This is part three of the Story Of My Ride series from #TDU2024 and my visit to South Australia, recorded 14 January 2024, part of my coverage from the Tour Down Under of 2024. – Rob _____ Acknowledgement: This video was made on the lands of the Kaurna people and I'd like to pay my respects to elders past and present. _____ Presented by Plasmaide (see: www.plasmaide.com.au for more). _____ #StoryOfMyRide series (from South Australia 2024) Part 1: Signs of the teams, cycling in Adelaide – River Torrens Linear Park Path    • Story of my ride #TDU2024: Signs of the te...   Part 2: Gorge Road, Cudlee Creek, Lobethal…    • Story of my ride #TDU2024 (pt2) – Gorge Ro...   Part 3: Old Willunga Hill / McLaren Vale (cycling, city to vineyards)    • Story of my ride: Adelaide to Old Willunga...   Part 4: City to coast – to Port Adelaide + surrounds    • Story of my ride: cycling, city to coast –...   _____ www.ridemedia.com.au _____ Chapters 00:00 Intro 00:53 A destination in mind 03:32 Life mimics art – a nod to Jeffrey Smart 05:48 Over the hills 07:19 Patrick Jonker Veloway 08:26 TDU – objectives achieved! 12:21 Hassle-free cycling 15:47 Windy on Old Willunga Hill 16:52 Sarah Gigante's winning display 17:36 Turnaround… and down the hill 18:23 Fuel up for the return to Adelaide _____ Music: No Alarms Glasseyes BCGYVCQVEPFIGIHX Boys Ride Beasts Cloud Wave QVIY3X2J6GTKYL1I Oleander Tea GLASWING QV8FXVRMY6LH4T3A Spirits Over The High Ridge Mountain Dreamers ODTUOJCD5NMMZ51G Get Down Lunareh KI046YIDCUOD2DWK
