Metallica – Orion (Live in Melbourne 2010)

Metallica delivered a breathtaking performance of “Orion” during their 2010 Melbourne show — a rare, powerful moment where the band stepped fully into the instrumental, cosmic side of their legacy. As the opening notes drifted across the arena, the entire crowd fell into a hush, locked into the song’s atmosphere, emotion, and sheer musical precision. This performance highlights Metallica at their most expressive: James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett weaving intricate harmonies, Robert Trujillo carrying the spirit of Cliff Burton with deep, resonant bass lines, and Lars Ulrich driving the dynamic shifts that make “Orion” one of the band’s most iconic compositions. Melbourne absorbed every rise and fall, creating a shared moment of reflection, intensity, and connection. Whether you were in the arena that night or you’re discovering this performance now, immerse yourself in one of Metallica’s most legendary instrumentals — a piece that continues to resonate across generations. #Metallica #Orion #MetallicaLive #Metallica2010 #Melbourne2010 #LiveInMelbourne #MetallicaAustralia #JamesHetfield #KirkHammett #LarsUlrich #RobertTrujillo #CliffBurton #InstrumentalMetal #ThrashMetal #MetalLegends #ConcertFootage #LiveMusic #MetallicaFans #RockIcons #MelbourneConcert
