Love Me Tender

"Love Me Tender" was written by Ken Darby (who used his wife Vera Matson's name for the official lyrics credit) and Elvis Presley, with the melody adapted by Darby from the 1861 Civil War ballad "Aura Lea" composed by George R. Poulton.
