On the line, a mother whispers from a roadside motel where she and her daughter are hiding from a man trying the doors — a motel the system says burned down in 1996. With the storm cutting every other connection, Ingrid's voice is their only way out, and the longer she guides them, the more the night begins to sound like one she already knows.
