All of the footage was shot from fixed tripod positions, and this video covers only the first section of the street, not the entire length of North Main Street. North Main Street carries Route 12 north out of the center of Norwich and runs through the Greeneville neighborhood, one of the city’s National Register Historic Districts. Roads like this one change slowly and then all at once, with storefronts turning over, buildings coming down, and new construction going up. A record made today may be the only one that shows how a particular corner looked in 2026. This video is part of my ongoing effort to document Norwich as a visual historical archive for former residents, historians, and researchers. It prioritizes documentation over entertainment.
