Jacques Fath was once one of the biggest names in Paris fashion, competing with Christian Dior and dressing some of the most famous women in the world. So why is his name almost forgotten today? In this video, I’m looking at the rise and disappearance of Jacques Fath, from his glamorous couture house and rivalry with Dior to his incredible 1950s designs, celebrity clients, extravagant parties and the young designers who passed through his atelier, including Givenchy, Guy Laroche and Valentino. I also look at what happened to the house after Fath's sudden death at just 42, the attempts to revive the brand in the 1990s and 2000s, and the mysterious Jacques Fath revival announced for 2026.
