I really like the way this mission is designed, with the cannon being occasionally delivered on the other side of the map, the treacherous journey back to the Inca City, the two enemy camps on opposite sides of the river It all makes up a really fun mission I think.
Even though the main objective is to deliver the 8 cannon to the Inca City, I personally prefer to use the arriving cannon as offensive weapons against the Russian orange camp. They are quite a pain and will interfere with your cannons a lot and even attack your base from the north, so I find it a good move to just immediatley focus on destroying them.
You will have to continuously defend against the southern red camp too, so keeping a decent fighting force down there is wise, and using the arriving cannons to push into the orange camp works well. Obviously the Orange will destroy your cannons if you attack with them alone, so you will need to build a gradual force to send up to the orange camp too.
Dropping a forward offensive fort outside the Red camp with a bunch of outposts creates a great defensive wall between your base and also the exposed Inca Temple, and you can train troops from what is now your 'forward base'. You can see that, other than building this defensive line, my focus is on destroying the orange camp first.
Once the orange camp is destroyed and you control the northern side of the river, it becomes a bit of waiting game for your cannon to build up. It is quite annoying that the ornage troops keep spawning even after their base is destroyed. You can use home shipment cannons if you still have them, and you can build your own to speed things up. If you call in earlier home shipment cannons, get them to walk in the circle so it counts to the 8 cannon - I didn't do this but should have. Also using the two available factories speeds it up too.
Once you have the eight cannon, you only need to push slightly into the red base and knock out the fort - pretty easy as it is just a few outposts and then the fort - plus any troops in the way.
