Supporting Black Survivors in Rural Communities

In this capacity-building webinar, participants explored the unique challenges faced by survivors in rural communities and discussed strategies for strengthening survivor safety through culturally specific, community-rooted approaches. The conversation highlighted the critical role that communities play in supporting survivors, offered practical guidance for culturally specific safety planning, and created space to unpack both the strengths and challenges of working within rural communities, often with limited resources. Through this discussion, presenters shared insights, tools, and approaches designed to support advocates, service providers, and community members committed to advancing survivor-centered care.
