Phantom Thieves, Hero's Comrades, & Dr. Wily Spirit Battle Speedruns - SSBU

Spirit battles generally are short and can be beaten in a minute at their longest and a mere second when using powerful spirit builds at the shortest. However, three battles out of over a thousand of them stand out as taking the longest no matter how much power you decide to use. They are Dr. Wily from Mega Man, Phantom Thieves of Hearts from Persona 5, and Hero's Comrades from Dragon Quest XI. While other battles have hordes of enemies to fight as well, those enemies can usually be swatted away like flies with powerful spirit builds. These three feature enemies with much more endurance and put more pressure on the player with all the accumulated damage they can put on them if they don't play carefully. Even still, even these three aren't immune to cheesing. One method I used to beat these quickly in my 2 hour long spirit battle compilation was using Donkey Kong to just chuck them offstage. Sure some enemies with better recoveries need some damage primed onto them so that they don't break out of DK's cargo throw as quickly so that they can be thrown straight into the blast zone and others are inbetween to where an aerial attack is needed to intercept their double jumps after throwing them deep offstage. Phantom Thieves has no changes from the big compilation. Neither does Dr. Wily, but before that I did put out a separate video on that battle with an older run compared to this slightly faster one with even a freebie metal Mega Man SD. This run of Hero's Comrades is different from the one in the big compilation and I was even able to get a slightly faster time despite the earlier one having the freebie Robin SD. Just a spoiler, but these three battles are going to be in some smaller compilations I have later down the road.
