I asked people in San Francisco’s Tenderloin one simple question:
“What do you need most right now ?”
I thought I was asking about food.
But the answers were heavier than that.
Some said hot food.
Some said water.
Some said blankets.
Some said cash, a job, family, or friends.
After listening first, I went to Chinatown and ordered 50 bowls of brisket wonton noodle soup to bring back and share in the Tenderloin.
What happened after reminded me that this mission is not only about hunger.
It’s about listening.
It’s about presence.
It’s about carrying back what you can, even when some needs are heavier than one day can solve.
From Chinatown to the Tenderloin, every bowl was served with love and dignity.
And even in the middle of pain, I still witnessed something human and unforgettable.
🕊️ From heart to hand -- one soul, one meal at a time.
