PSN Sits Down with Steve Mackenzie: Inside the AI Revolution Hitting Stadiums & Arenas

This time, the tables are turned. Instead of hosting the Innovators Series, Steve is the one in the hot seat — sitting down with PSN to talk candidly about AI, risk, and the future of stadiums and arenas worldwide. Steve shares what he's seeing across the global venue landscape: how event mixes are shifting toward private events, how AI and AR are turning the venue itself into part of the experience, and why places like the Sphere in Las Vegas are resetting audience expectations everywhere else. He also gets real about the operational headaches venues are facing — staffing shortages since COVID, chronic underuse of powerful systems like Momentus, and the growing weight of risk management — before diving into what AI is actually being used for right now, from natural language reporting to AI agents built for sales, events, and finance teams. Steve also addresses the elephant in the room: why so many venues are hesitant to adopt AI, how data security concerns are being handled, and why sitting on the sidelines is the riskiest move of all. He wraps with clear, practical advice on what venue leaders should be doing today to future-proof their operations.
