Thanks to PCBWay for supplying the boards for this build: https://pcbway.com With original 1581 drives becoming increasingly rare and correspondingly expensive, building a replica may be the only way to get your hands on Commodore's 8-bit wonder drive at a reasonable price. And it turns out that while some components are not particularly cheap, it isn't a difficult build to complete. But getting it to work reliably might be a lot harder than you think...
