"How Many MORE Times?!" | Kevin O'Sullivan SLAMS BBC Over Russell Brand Scandal

The BBC’s handling of Russell Brand comes under fierce criticism as Kevin O’Sullivan and Rebecca Ryan question broadcasters’ accountability and their treatment of powerful stars. Kevin is joined by the campaign director of Defund the BBC, to discuss allegations about Brand’s behaviour and whether complaints were properly addressed. Kevin criticises what he describes as a culture of venerating celebrities, while Ms Ryan argues that licence-fee payers deserve greater accountability. The pair also revisit the Andrew Sachs phone-call controversy and question Channel 4’s handling of Brand before its 2023 investigation. Both demand stronger scrutiny of broadcasters and question whether meaningful change will follow. #russellbrand #bbc #accountability Have you got a story?
