Narita Sensei is explaining the the essence of Aikido. Intentionally trying to apply a technique will lead to intuitive resistance on the side of the opponent. But beeing completely open and without the slightest idea of conflict or opposition creates unity with the opponent who is not able to find a target and gets absorbed physically and mentally.
