Psalm 119 - Your Word

Psalm 119 is an elaborate acrostic poem, structured around every letter of the Hebrew alphabet, with each section meditating on the beauty, the power, and the necessity of God's word. It would take an entire album to capture every verse, but the heart of the whole psalm beats around one central truth, repeated in different forms again and again. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. The psalmist describes hiding God's word in his heart so that he would not sin. He describes it as sweeter than honey. He describes finding wonderful things every time he truly looks at it. He describes great peace belonging to those who love it, and nothing being able to make them stumble. This isn't dry religious obligation. This is genuine delight, genuine wonder, genuine love for the words God has spoken. This is a song for anyone who wants to fall back in love with Scripture. For anyone who needs a light for the next step of the path, even when the rest of the road is still dark. Open your eyes. There are wonderful things in His word waiting to be seen. 🎵 Song: Your Word 📖 Scripture: Psalm 119 🎼 Style: Simple Steady Worship Anthem "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
