Welcome to the final episode of my Kinnaur–Spiti Series, where we explore some of the highest villages in the world before bidding farewell to the magical Spiti Valley. Our day begins from Kaza, as we drive towards the beautiful fossil village of Langza, surrounded by the mighty Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak. With its iconic giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley, Langza is one of the most picturesque villages in Spiti and a place where time seems to slow down. From Langza, we continue our adventure to Hikkim, home to the world's highest post office. Sending a postcard from this remote Himalayan village is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The journey then takes us to Komic, one of the highest motorable villages in the world. Standing at over 15,000 feet, Komic offers breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and a glimpse into the simple yet resilient life of the people living in the high Himalayas. Leaving behind the villages of Spiti is an emotional moment as we begin our drive towards one of the most breathtaking destinations of the trip—Chandratal Lake, the legendary Moon Lake. Hidden amidst the barren mountains of the Himalayas, its crystal-clear blue water reflects the surrounding peaks, creating a landscape that feels almost unreal. Watching the beauty of Chandratal is truly a dream come true for every traveller. The adventure continues across the rugged roads of Kunzum Pass and the challenging terrain that makes the Spiti circuit one of India's most iconic road trips. As we descend into the lush green valleys of Lahaul, we arrive at the beautiful village of Sissu, where towering waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, and peaceful surroundings provide the perfect contrast to the rugged beauty of Spiti. Finally, after days of unforgettable roads, monasteries, mountain villages, and countless memories, we reach Manali, marking the end of an incredible Himalayan adventure. This isn't just the end of a travel series—it's the end of a journey that taught me that the mountains are not only places to visit, but places that become a part of you forever.
