KEYBIRD X1 Microphone test. Oktava MK-012, Yamahiko CPS-PF1R, Helpinstill

Keybird X-1 microphone test Microphones recorded: 1 Helpinstill bass, no preamp 2 Helpinstill treble, no preamp 3 Yamahiko CPS-PF1R (Hi) through a Headway EDB-2 H.E with a little bit of EQ (less lows, neutral mids, boosted highs) 4 Yamahiko CPS-PF1R (Lo) through a Headway EDB-2 H.E with a little bit of EQ (less lows, neutral mids, boosted highs) 5 Oktava MK-012 Left 6 Oktava MK-012 Right Recorded through a ZOOM F8n Pro interface into Logic. No EQ or effects were applied in Logic. The Helpinstill and Yamahiko signals are panned approximately 50% left/right, while the Oktava pair is panned 100% left/right. The levels have been adjusted to make the sources reasonably comparable. Some recordings include a drum loop playing fairly loudly in the room, approximately three meters behind the piano through loudspeakers. This was done to demonstrate the amount of natural bleed into the condenser microphones. My assumption is that an acoustic drummer in the same position would likely have been even louder.
