A memorable meeting between two distinguished visitors took place in New York City on February 20, 1861. President-elect Abraham Lincoln greeted the venerable Joshua Dewey, who had voted in every presidential election since Washington. He also had shouldered a musket during the Revolution. A young lawyer made the meeting happen. Here's the story.
