In this episode, I head deep into Buckland Valley—one of Victoria's most famous 1850s Gold Rush regions—for an off-grid ute camping trip! What started as a journey to explore historic gold country turned into an adventure when I ran straight into a raging, flooded river that completely blocked the trail. Unable to cross, I made camp right by the water's edge, surrounded by local wildlife including herds of kangaroos and cattle along the way. To make the most of being trapped by the floodwaters, I whipped up a massive seafood paella on the campfire. 📍 In This Video: 00:00 – Heading into Buckland Valley (1850s Gold Rush Country) 02:15 – Spotting Kangaroos & Cattle on the Trail 04:30 – Hit with a Flooded River: Ute Route Blocked! 06:45 – Setting Up the Off-Grid Ute Camp 09:10 – Cooking a Massive Seafood Paella by the Riverbank 13:40 – Paella testing & Final Thoughts ⚙️ Gear & Setup Featured: Vehicle & Camp Setup: Custom Ute Camping Rig Cookware: Campfire Paella Pan & Tripod 🔔 Don't forget to Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more Aussie ute camping, bush cooking, and off-grid exploration! #UteCamping #BucklandValley #BushCooking #SeafoodPaella #4x4Australia #OffGridCamping #GoldRushHistory
