GET PREPARED & BE COURAGEOUS | Bishop Ramathan Mukisa | Joshua 1:1–9

In this powerful Wednesday Altar message, I share an important word from Joshua 1:1–9 under the theme GET PREPARED. God calls us to prepare ourselves for the assignments He has entrusted to us, to be strong and courageous, and to remain committed to Him and His Word. At the beginning of this message, I encourage everyone to recognise that each person has a place, a calling, and a responsibility in the work of God. Whether you are a pastor, bishop, apostle, prophet, or serving in any other capacity God has given you, it is important to understand your responsibility and serve faithfully in the place He has appointed you. Every calling matters, and we must fulfil our God-given assignments with commitment, humility, and faithfulness. Drawing special attention to Joshua 1:9, I emphasise the importance of being strong and courageous. Challenges, uncertainty, and difficult situations may come our way, but we must not allow fear or discouragement to stop us from fulfilling God's purpose. The Lord reminds Joshua that He is with him wherever he goes, and that same assurance encourages us to move forward in faith. THREE IMPORTANT LESSONS FROM THIS MESSAGE 1. GET PREPARED Prepare your heart and life for what God has called you to do. Do not take your calling or responsibility lightly. Be ready to serve, grow, and fulfil the assignment God has placed in your hands. 2. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS As Joshua 1:9 reminds us, we must not be afraid or discouraged. Trust in God's presence, stand firm in His Word, and face the challenges before you with courage. Do not let fear prevent you from obeying God. 3. MAKE TIME FOR GOD Amid our work, ministry, businesses, families, and daily responsibilities, we must deliberately make time for God. Give yourself to prayer, the study of His Word, worship, and fellowship with Him. Our service must not replace our personal relationship with God; we need to remain connected to Him as we serve. God has given each of us a responsibility to fulfil. Let us be prepared, courageous, faithful, and intentional about our walk with Him. Whatever place God has given you, serve faithfully, trust Him completely, and make room for His presence in your life. My prayer is that this message will strengthen your faith, renew your commitment to God, and encourage you to fulfil your calling with boldness and courage.
