This is probably one of the hardest videos I’ve ever made. I’m sharing my experience navigating racism and unequal treatment in healthcare, speaking up for myself, losing my job, and trying to figure out what life looks like afterward. This experience has affected my career, my family, my finances, and honestly, me as a person. I’m still processing everything in real time, but I wanted to share this chapter because I know I’m not the only Black healthcare professional who has struggled with whether to stay quiet or speak up. There are details I cannot discuss because I now have legal representation, but I can talk about my experience, how this has impacted me, and what rebuilding looks like from here.
