[LYRICS] A table under branches, cups scattered everywhere. Too many empty places, but no room left to spare. The tea is getting colder. The clocks refuse to move. And somehow everyone around me acts like this is nothing new. I thought I'd found a resting place, a quiet chair, some tea. Instead I found another world that disagreed with me. Questions had no answers. Answers changed their shape. Every thought I tried to follow found another way to escape. The minutes never traveled. The hour wouldn't bend. Six o'clock stayed six o'clock without a start or end. Tea at six forever, round the table once again. Move another chair along and start where we began. Tea at six forever, every cup already used. The longer that I sit here, the more I feel confused. A riddle became another riddle. A story lost its way. A sleepy little voice began, then drifted far away. I tried to find the meaning, but meaning wouldn't stay. Words were tossed like teaspoons, then forgotten right away. Someone poured another cup. Someone changed their seat. The table kept on turning without moving from beneath. Maybe time is tired here. Maybe time was crossed. Maybe someone argued with it and that's how time was lost. No morning after teatime. No evening coming through. Only cups and crumbs and chairs and things we've already said and do. At first it almost amused me. Then something started wrong. A joke can lose its sweetness when it lasts a little long. I used to think that nonsense was something I could solve. But every time I pushed against it, nothing would resolve. Maybe not every puzzle deserves another try. Maybe sometimes walking off is better than asking why. Tea at six forever, but I don't have to stay. Let the cups keep circling. Let them talk the time away. Tea at six forever, let the clocks forget to move. I think I've had enough of tea and nothing left to prove. I leave the table behind me. The laughter fades away. The forest feels much quieter without another game to play. Somewhere ahead, another door, another path, another sign. But for once I'm glad to leave a place that never changes time. Tea at six forever. Not for me. Not tonight. ------------------------------------------------------------------- #AliceInWonderland #TeaAtSixForever #MadTeaParty #MadHatter #MarchHare #MelodyOfPages #LewisCarroll #EnglishLyrics #AIMusic #BookToMusic #StoryMusic #Wonderland
