The attack itself is horrifying. People gathered for a public event and were targeted, leaving families devastated and once again forcing Europe to confront serious questions about public safety and immigration policy. Rather than using this tragedy as an opportunity to have an honest discussion, much of the online conversation immediately devolved into political finger-pointing. Instead of focusing on the attacker, the motives behind the attack, and what policies may have contributed to the situation, leftists rushed to blame white people or shift the conversation elsewhere. That kind of reaction doesn't help anyone. One of the biggest topics raised in Asmongold's video is Germany's immigration policy. Critics argue that for years, politicians have prioritized accepting large numbers of muslim inmigrants while failing to adequately vet newcomers, deport foreign nationals who commit serious crimes, or ensure successful integration into German society. Whether one agrees with every policy proposal or not, repeated attacks have fueled public concern that existing policies have not sufficiently addressed security risks. Democracies cannot ignore genuine security threats out of fear that discussing them will be considered politically incorrect. The reaction on social media has also been revealing. Rather than addressing the facts of the case, some online commentators appeared more interested in assigning blame to political opponents than discussing how similar attacks might be prevented in the future. That approach often generates more division while doing little to improve public safety. Ultimately, governments have a responsibility to protect their citizens. Immigration policy, border security, criminal enforcement, and integration programs are all legitimate subjects for public debate. As tragedies like this continue to occur, many voters are understandably asking whether current policies are achieving those goals. In this video, I react to Asmongold's analysis, discuss the political response to the attack, and examine the broader debate surrounding immigration, security, and the responsibilities of governments to keep their citizens safe.
