June 2024 Filmed with Canon G7X Mark 2, Gopro8 Fam Islands (Indonesian: Kepulauan Fam) are a group of islands in the Raja Ampat Archipelago, which are administered as part of the Indonesian province of Southwest Papua. The main islands are Fam, Penemu (Fam Besar), Inus and Yar. They lie northwest of Batanta island, in the straits between Waigeo and Batanta and New Guinea. Penemu and the Fam Islands group contain some of the most beautiful coral reefs in Raja Ampat. These remote reefs are bursting with colour and life. We start out from Papua Explorers Resort by boat in the morning. After a boat ride of approximately one hour westward, we arrive at the Fam Islands.
