De Slag om het Reichswaldroute

The battle of the Reichswald was the last great battle on the western front. The route passes through the picturesque landscape of the St. Jansberg and the Reichswald that in 1945 was torn apart by a massive offensive. In this film and still, you can see the traces it left behind, amoung which a German war cemetery and the largest British war cemetery of Europe in the middle of the Reichswald . The price that was paid for freedom was high.
