The beginning of a timber frame

The first film in a timber frame build, based on a design I drew last year. The timbers were gathered from the woods surrounding the workshop. After cutting the timbers oversized, they were stacked away to dry naturally - until the moisture level reached 18%. This film shows the first preparations for the build, and the making of the first frames — with only the sound of timber and tools.
