TranzCoastal Train from Picton to Christchurch, New Zealand

Enjoyable and cold journey into New Zealand winter. Train travels on west coast of South island. It starts this half a day journey right next to ferry terminal in Picton, where ferry from North island island arrives. Train follows coast line - in some sections its even built on the beach. Journey ends in Christchurch, which is tourist capital of South island. There is open space at the end of train, where passengers can obersve nature without glass. It's very windy, but well worth.
