A traditional dish served mainly weddings or other celebrations also known as Bride's rice. Traditionally, the recipe calls for barberries. Instead of this you can use dried cranberries also. But here in kerala, both were not available. So as substitute i added Raisins soaked in lemon juice. This will give almost same flavour that of berries. Recipe adapted from TheKitchn.
