QCAA Specialist Mathematics 2025 Paper 1 Question 18

Question 18 of Paper 1 of the 2025 Specialist Mathematics exam is all about projectile motion and surprisingly, some trigonometric identities! This is such a fantastic question, taking us through a strange projectile motion situation, and requiring some really awesome algebraic manipulation involving trigonometric equations. We then need to solve a quadratic equation using both substitution and completing the square. How cool!!
