When a snowflake lands on her nose, she thinks the sky is falling apart and hides in the woodshed. Baaska and Sardaana sit with her gently, Doctor Argys explains that snow is just frozen water — tiny six-pointed ice stars — and Ehe Miise the bear wraps her in his softest scarf. Step by step, the friends show Tigresh how fun snow can be: catching snowflakes on their noses, making paw-print patterns, laughing when Baaska tumbles into a snowdrift and pops out as the Snow Cat of Tomtor, and building their very own snowy Lena Pillars. Then Tigresh makes the first snow angel of the year! Everyone warms up with berry tea by the window as the snow keeps falling. Lesson: new things can feel scary, and friends help us try them gently.
