Playlist of my Emerald Imperium runs: • Emerald Imperium
This was a very easy run. The early game was easier than the last few. I did do some egg move hunting, using Counter G-Farfetch'd, but it was nowhere near as extensive as previous runs. By the time I got to Brawly, it was mostly smooth sailing. One thing I wish I did differently was use Mega Machamp a lot sooner. I didn't feel like using it because I was fixated on Mega Blaziken. Even though it lacked Speed Boost, I had hoped that Flame Charge and Striker-boosted kicks would make it a solid sweeper. It certainly swept, but it wasn't very consistent. I used Mega Machamp on a whim and got addicted to using it, as I was when I played radical Red. If I had used it more, it would've been as big an MVP as Hawlucha. Once again, I didn't feel like using Mega Infernape. Unsurprisingly, this monotype has so many Iron Fist mons, and base Infernape was barely used in this run. I gravitated to slower Iron Fist mons, such as Pangoro and Crabominable. This run had the usual suspects for the most part. Unfortunately, Hitmonlee wasn't a big player because the stat-boosting berries are not in this hack. I couldn't do the classic Endure/Liechi Berry strat with Unburden. It did make me try out its Striker ability. It got Aqua Step as a level-up move. That was good, but not a full-fledged replacement for the Endure strat. So many Fighting-types, I only used a small fraction of them. Having recently used Kommo-o, I didn't feel the need to use it again, even though it would've been a huge sweeper.
The music is from Final Fight 2 and 3.
