I Made My iMac G3 Much Quieter… And Faster (Fan & HDD Upgrade) #apple #iMac #upgrade

Today I'm back to some iMac G3 content - so on the bench I’ve got a Tangerine iMac G3 (tray loader), and I’m giving it a couple of simple upgrades to make it both quieter and faster. The original fan in these machines can be surprisingly noisy, and while the old spinning hard drives have their charm, they’re getting much less reliable with age. So in this video I replace the fan with a much quieter modern unit and swap the hard drive for a CompactFlash setup to give it a solid-state boost.
