Veteran Family Builds an Arch Cabin on 10 Acres | Start to Finish by @chasingfreedomhomestead

Almost every building material starts out straight. This cabin doesn't have a single straight wall. After 32 years in the military and 8 more in law enforcement, Matt bought 10 acres in the Pacific Northwest with his wife Brenda and their son Isaac. The first structure going up is an arch cabin — 22 curved steel ribs forming one continuous shell from the ground on one side to the ground on the other. Nothing about it is standard. OSB comes square and has to be cut to the curve. A 2,500-gallon water tank goes into the crawl space before the floor does, because afterward it won't fit. A pony wall runs around the entire base — 38 separate pieces — just to keep the wiring away from hot metal. The property had a house before. It burned down. This is what goes there now.
