Unpacking Sweden’s election results

Following Sweden’s parliamentary election on 13 September 2026, this webinar will discuss the electoral outcome by exploring factors that have shaped the result and the emerging coalition options. It will look into the performance of the main political parties and Magdalena Andersson’s prospects for forming a government, assuming the opposition wins the election. Moreover, the discussion will also assess the key themes of the campaign, voter turnout, and the broader integrity of the electoral process. Particular attention will be given to the performance of the Social Democratic Party, including its core campaign themes and strategies and the factors behind its gains or losses.
