For almost 80 years, India and Pakistan have fought four wars over Kashmir, and the Line of Control has barely moved.
From the 1846 sale of Kashmir and the 1947 Partition to Kargil, nuclear bombs and Operation Sindoor, this is the story of how a country born of fear got stuck in a loop it can't escape.
We look at the LoC, Pakistan's army, the shadow war, and the Kashmiris on both sides who have paid the highest price.
