Does Watch Dogs actually hold up in 2026? Five hours into a blind first playthrough, Part 2 is where I finally decide.

3:40:00 Verdict - does Watch Dogs hold up?
Part 1 ran five hours and I came out of it genuinely unsure. Half of chat says Watch Dogs was ahead of its time, the other half says Watch Dogs 2 did it better. Twelve years after release, with the whole of Chicago and the phone that opens every camera and traffic light in the city, tonight I stop hedging.
Picking up exactly where Part 1 stopped. Still blind. No guides, no walkthrough, and please keep spoilers out of chat. Honest verdict at the end of the night.
The Steam Autumn Sale runs until 8 October — I picked this up for ₹139, down from ₹1,399, after twelve years of skipping it.

🎯 Tonight: Part 2 — the verdict, does it hold up?
🎙️ Language: Hinglish + English
For anyone who played it back in 2014: what is the one thing in Watch Dogs you would tell a first-timer to try before the story takes over? No spoilers, just the thing.
