Maybe somebody has already told you that you won't make it.

I AM NOT THERE YET — BUT I REFUSE TO STOP BUILDING | DIGNITY IN OLD AGE EPISODE 2 Some words stay with you. After my husband was laid to rest, I heard: “It is obvious she will beg to survive.” And another person said: “We will see how she will sail through.” Those words could have become my identity. But I made a decision: I would not allow somebody else's prediction about my future to become my destiny. In this very personal episode of Dignity in Old Age, I share part of my journey—not because I have arrived, but because I am still building. I am still learning. Still working. Still caring for my family. Still carrying responsibilities. Still dreaming. And still trying to turn agricultural opportunities into sustainable value. I share why value addition has become important to my agricultural journey, including products such as dried scent leaf, onion flakes, spices, dried vegetables and other processed agricultural products. I also share my dream of creating a small processing space where agricultural produce can come in and leave with more value. Am I there yet? No. Am I building toward it? Yes. This episode is also a reminder that dignity in old age begins long before old age. It begins with what we do while we still have strength: Learn. Save. Diversify. Build. Develop skills. Create relationships. Prepare. 🌱 Little by little, the bird builds its nest. My nest is still under construction. But I am building.
