Sri Lankan Community of Scotland Sinhala Hindu New Year Festival 2023 in Perth, Scotland

The Sri Lankan Community of Scotland Sinhala Hindu New Year Festival 2024. This was held at the North Inch Community Campus in Perth, Scotland, on Saturday 6th April 2024, with support from Perth & Kinross Council. The festival included members of the Sri Lankan Community, Buddhist monks, traditional blessings, dance and music displays, along with games and wonderful street food. Sinhalese New Year marks the end of the harvest and the arrival of spring as indicated by the sun moving from Meena Rashiya ( Pisces) to Mesha Rashiya (Aries). The actual date of the Sinhalese New Year is the 13th April 2024. ස්කොට්ලන්තයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා ප්‍රජාව සිංහල හින්දු අලුත් අවුරුදු උත්සවය 2024 පෙන්වන චිත්‍රපටය. මෙය පර්ත් සහ කින්රෝස් කවුන්සිලයේ සහාය ඇතිව ස්කොට්ලන්තයේ පර්ත් හි උතුරු අඟල් ප්‍රජා මණ්ඩපයේදී පැවැත්විණි. උත්සවයට ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ප්‍රජාවේ බොහෝ සාමාජිකයින්, බෞද්ධ භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා, සම්ප්‍රදායික ආශිර්වාද, නැටුම් සහ සංගීත සංදර්ශන, ක්‍රීඩා සහ අපූරු වීදි ආහාර ඇතුළත් විය. skoṭlantayē śrī laṁkā prajāva siṁhala hindu alut avurudu utsavaya 2024 penvana citrapaṭaya. meya part saha kinrōs kavunsilayē sahāya ætiva skoṭlantayē part hi uturu an̆gal prajā maṇḍapayēdī pævætviṇi. utsavayaṭa śrī lāṁkika prajāvē bohō sāmājikayin, bauddha bhikṣūn vahansēlā, sampradāyika āśirvāda, næṭum saha saṁgīta saṁdarśana,
