THE SURVIVOR’S JOURNEY | EPISODE 3: PRECIOUS' STORY

In Episode 3 of The Survivor’s Journey, we sit down with Precious, who became pregnant at 17 while preparing for her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). She subsequently lived with the father of her child for several years, during which she experienced physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. Determined to leave the abusive relationship, Precious found her way to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) through her sister, taking an important step towards a safer future for herself and her child. Despite the challenges she faced at a young age, Precious remained determined to pursue her education and build a better future. Today, her five-year-old son remains one of her greatest sources of pride, whom she describes as her greatest achievement.
