We asked the police where we could park for the night. They let us stay in front of their outpost at Baler Baywalk, with the sea just across the road. After Pampanga, we changed our plans and headed to Aurora. Along the way, we stopped for lunch overlooking Pantabangan Dam and passed through Maria Aurora's narrow road before reaching Baler. Come along as we take a tricycle to Wahana Cafe, meet a local brewer, explore the giant Balete tree and hanging bridge, and settle into life beside the sea. One of our favorite parts was finding the Sabutan weavers. The locals helped us find them, and Callie got to try weaving herself. Watching the makers work made it look easy. Trying it was another story. We also spent time swimming, exploring the rock formations and staying in our camper at Diguisit, before heading toward our next destination: Casiguran. Sulit nga ba, o pinahirapan lang namin sarili namin? Would you spend the night here with your family? Tell us in the comments.
