Youth Khutbah 23 - Names of الله: Al-Mu'min | The One Who Gives Safety and Security

Theme: Allah is Al-Mu'min, the One who gives safety, security, and peace. A believer honors this name by making others feel safe. Short Summary (for Parents & Students): Continuing our series on the Names of Allah, we learn Al-Mu'min, mentioned in Surah Al-Hashr alongside Al-Malik, Al-Quddus, and As-Salam. Allah is the One who gives safety, who fulfills His promises like no other, and who protects the believers. When you feel scared, worried, or face challenges, remember that Allah is Al-Mu'min, who gives peace and security to the hearts of the believers. So how do we honor Al-Mu'min? The Prophet ﷺ said three times, "By Allah, he is not a believer," and when asked who, he said, "the one whose neighbor is not safe from his harm" (Bukhari). Your neighbors include your classmates and friends around you. He ﷺ also taught that a Muslim is one from whom others are safe from his tongue and his hand. Society teaches that being strong means being loud, aggressive, or feared. Islam teaches that real strength is self-control, kindness, protecting others, and being trustworthy. In Surah Al-An'am, ayah 82, Allah promises security to those who believe and do not mix their faith with wrongdoing.
