Santiago Monorail Construction! Monorriel de Santiago

Alstom is building a 14 station, 13km long monorail station in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. I had forgotten about this monorail and when I visited recently, I was walking to El Monumento and couldn't believe it when I saw the monorail! I have actually had dreams of this, finding new monorails under construction or in operation. This was surreal! Having the cable car connecting to the new monorail is incredibly exciting since I love both modes of transportation (some call gadgetbahns). My next dream come true would be an urban maglev and a monorail in the same city! I hope the ride quality is better than the newer Bombardier monorails out there.
