Yes, it sweet potatoes crop and our farmers belonging to south or north Punjab can easily cultivate this crop. Sweet potato (shaker qandi, شکرقندی) is a kharif season crop. We can grow it in June to end of July and can be harvest 75 to 80 days after sowing. Seedrate: 15 to 16 kg tubers or 4 to 5 Marla crop for cuttings Seed sowing time: February to March Crop sowing time: June to July Land preparation: Deep plough, cultivator, rotavator and then 36 inches beds preparation. Plant to plant distance: 9 to 12 inches Weeds management: Dual gold as pre emergence and then 2 to 3 ploughing as per need.
