Classic Karosa buses in regular operation around Włocławek, Poland, filmed on 5 and 6 May 2026.
This video documents several examples of one of the most recognizable families of Czech buses still working in Poland. Although modern low-floor vehicles increasingly dominate public transport, older Karosa buses can still be found in regional and interurban operation, making Włocławek and the surrounding area particularly interesting for enthusiasts of classic Central European buses.
Karosa has had a surprisingly strong presence in this part of Poland. Regional operator KPTS still listed 58 Karosa buses in its fleet in 2025, alongside SOR, Irisbus and Autosan vehicles. Other operators serving the wider Włocławek area have also historically relied heavily on Karosa and Autosan buses.
The footage was recorded over two days, 5 and 6 May 2026, capturing the buses in the real urban environment of Włocławek rather than at a museum or special event. That makes the video a snapshot of a disappearing era: high-floor Czech-built buses continuing to perform everyday passenger duties many years after they were manufactured.
Expect classic Karosa bodywork, unmistakable proportions, diesel sounds and the atmosphere of Polish regional bus transport.
