Her performance earned her two Emmy Awards and solidified her as one of the most respected actresses of the 1970's and 80's television. Her legacy on MASH remains a defining part of the show's emotional core and cultural impact. Jaime Farr portrayed Corporal Maxwell Q. Klinger, a lovable, cross dressing orderly who constantly tried to get discharged by pretending to be insane, but over time, Klinger evolved into a loyal, hard working company clerk, adding a unique layer of humor and humanity to the series. Jaime brought a piece of himself into the role. Klinger's hometown was even changed to Toledo to reflect Farr's own roots.
